Robert Thompson, BA

Vice President of Development

Robert (Bobby) Thompson serves as a nonprofit senior executive, coach, consultant, and development officer. After spending the first part of his career in higher education, he enlisted in the US Naval and Marine Reserves, completing an 8-year stint in the Chaplains Program. In 2000, Robert transitioned his career into the global humanitarian sector, serving in leadership positions at Save the Children, UNICEF, and the United Nations Association. In addition to his current role as Vice President of Development and adjunct instructor in the MBA program, Robert's extensive nonprofit experience includes leadership and consulting positions at the Museum of the Bible, World Renew, and Biologos. He and his wife have two adult sons and live in Summit where they are active volunteers and advocates for the special needs community. Robert graduated from Wake Forest University and completed executive coursework at Harvard University School of Public Health.
