Undergraduate Students

Pillar College Grants/Scholarships for Undergraduate Students

  • For full time students only and GPA 2.0 or above.

DES (David E. Schroeder) Biblical Studies Grant

The DES Biblical Studies Grant New Student that enrolls in Biblical Studies Major & Associate’s Degree students and BLEND who graduate with an A.A. and who enroll in the Biblical Studies bachelor’s degree will qualify for the DES Biblical Studies Grant for the third and fourth year only after they enroll full time in the bachelor’s degree. (*Up to $7500 is applied after Federal and State financial aid and student loans are applied. Funding is for tuition costs per semester, all other fees will need to be paid by the student.) Students will lose the DES Biblical Studies Grant if the student transfers to another major or fails to complete the BA in Biblical Studies consecutively. No Stipend can be created. No need to re-apply.

FREE TUITION for Associates Degree for High School and GED Graduates for Traditional (2-year Free Tuition Grant)

New students will enroll in full-time status (12 credits or higher) at Pillar College during the first two years of their college experience. After financial and state aid is applied, accepted students can receive up to an annual amount of $9500** for the Free Tuition Grant. (*$4750 may be applied per semester towards tuition costs, all other fees will need to be paid by the student.) No stipend can be created. No need to re-apply.

NY Tap Remediation Grant

Offsetting the loss of New York State Financial Aid (NYTAP / New York Tuition Assistance Program), Pillar College offers the NY TAP Remediation Grant up to $5665 per fiscal year 2024-2025 for full time undergraduate students who are NY residents. Our present low tuition of $25,900 will be reduced by whatever is received from the Federal government and then the NY TAP Remediation Grant will be applied. Student must be a current and remain as a New York Resident where New York State is the legal state of residence while earning an associate or bachelor’s degree at Pillar College. If eligible, students will qualify for PC Grants. No need to re-apply.

School District Employee Grant

Pillar College awards a School District Employee Grant of up to $500 per semester to students who are currently employed in any capacity by a local school district Board of Education, or at an established private school or homeschooling association. To qualify for this grant supporting documents are needed: Paystub, employee tag, letter from school. No need to re-apply.

Scholastic Excellence Scholarship

The Scholastic Excellence Scholarship award is granted to undergraduate, full-time returning students who maintain a minimum GPA of 3.25 during their matriculation at Pillar College. Award amount is up to $500 per semester. A stipend will be provided if the Scholarship exceeds the tuition and semester fee costs after all Federal and State funding is applied, including student loans. The Student Account Advisors monitor applying this scholarship.

Student Referral Grant

Pillar College awards a Referral Grant to a currently matriculated degree-seeking student who refers a new degree-seeking student to Pillar College. The award is the dollar amount equivalent to the cost of one class given to the student who has referred the new student. The grant will be adjusted so no stipend is generated after other funding has been applied.

Criteria:

  • The referred student/friend enrolls full time, completes the semester and registers for the next semester as a full-time student. Satisfactory Academic Progress of 2.0 or higher is mandatory.
  • The student who referred the student/friend, will receive the equivalent of 3 credits (funding of one course) * the following semester after which they referred their student/friend. Full -time status is a requirement for the referred student/friend. Satisfactory Academic Progress of 2.0 or higher is mandatory.

Veterans Grant

The Pillar College Veterans Grant is awarded each fall and each spring to only one student. Application for the $500 Grant is required. The student must be a Veteran or Service member and be enrolled in the Department of Veterans Affairs benefits program. The student must be full-time at Pillar College in the semester for which it is applied.

    The Masters in Ministry Leadership (MAML)

    The M.A. degree in Ministry Leadership Grant is available to full-time Ministry Leadership students who are currently in ministry full-time in a church. Accepted students can receive up to $600 per semester as a full-time student. To qualify for this grant supporting documents are needed: Paystub, employee tag, letter from school. No Stipend can be created. No need to re-apply.

    Master's in Psychology and Counseling Grant(MAC)

    The M.A. degree in Psychology and Counseling Grant is available to full-time professional counselors who are currently employed in a counseling center or facility. Accepted students can receive up to $600 per semester as a full-time student. To qualify for this grant supporting documents are needed: Paystub, employee tag, letter from school. No stipend can be created. No need to re-apply.

    Master's in Business Administration Grant(MBA)

    The M.A. degree in Business Administration Grant is available to full-time students who are currently employed in business administration, social sector or non-profit. Accepted students can receive up to $600 per semester as a full-time student. To qualify for this grant supporting documents are needed: Paystub, employee tag, letter from school. No need to re-apply.

    School District Employee Grant

    Pillar College awards a School District Employee Grant of up to $600 to students who are currently employed in any capacity by a local school district Board of Education, or at an established private school or homeschooling association.
