Currently this course is being offered only to our students in the traditional programs and guests of the college. We can only take 40 people on this trip, though we hope to run this trip annually even switching between offering it in English and Spanish. For this initial offering and because this course conflicts with other classes, we cannot accept students currently enrolled in the BLEND and DEED programs at this time. We cannot allow our LEAD students to take the course during their LEAD program, except by specific qualifying circumstances.
Prerequisites for the course include Old or New Testament Survey and English Composition II (BIBL-101 or BIBL-102, and ENGL-102). This course is taught by Biblical scholars and archaeologists that will assume a certain level of historical, cultural and religious understanding. Having this understanding will help to make it a much more meaningful experience!
While there will be a good deal of lecture, there will also be a lot of travel and touring to historic or archaeological sites.
